About me
Hi, I’m Eva! Growing up in Spring Valley, CA, as one of eight siblings, I developed a profound appreciation for family and meaningful moments. As the designated photographer for our family gatherings, I cherish capturing memories through portraits and slideshows, ensuring our special occasions are never forgotten.
I’m an adventurous spirit who loves to embrace life fully. Whether it’s rollerblading, volleyball, golf, hula dancing, or playing various instruments, I enjoy being active outdoors. I also have a thrill-seeking side, with passions for motorcycles, skydiving, tubing in the summer, and snowboarding in the winter.
My husband and I tied the knot in the breathtaking beauty of Yosemite, which was a highlight filled with joy and love, and it inspires me to help others capture their own special occasions. We now celebrate life together in Davis, CA, with our two playful pups, Ovni and Chocomil.
After earning my degree in Social Work, I initially aspired to advocate for children facing adversity. However, my love for photography blossomed, leading me to pursue it as a full-time passion. I also graduated with an MBA, sparking my interest in marketing, and I’d love to chat if you have marketing needs or want to connect in that area!
Why I Love Photography
My photography journey started back in high school, where I found myself captivated by the magic of developing my own prints and experimenting with film. That experience opened my eyes to how powerful a single image can be—each one tells a story, capturing emotions and moments that resonate on a deeper level.
As a photographer, I focus on the heart of the moment, choosing to embrace the people and the feelings over the technical details. My goal is to create a relaxed and welcoming space where my clients feel comfortable being themselves. Each click of the shutter is an opportunity to unveil the unique personalities and emotions of those I photograph, highlighting their stories in a genuine way.
Honesty is at the core of my work. I would never ask someone to do a pose I wouldn’t be willing to try myself. If I can’t embrace it, I wouldn’t expect my subjects to either. It’s all about creating a genuine connection and capturing moments that truly reflect who they are.
I enjoy being outdoors and don’t mind getting a little messy for that perfect shot. I know that some of the most authentic moments happen in nature. I often carry around an old digital camera from the early 2000s because it’s the easiest way to capture my personal memories. It allows me to document my days and the essence of the people I encounter, making it a cherished part of my experience.
Through my photography, I aim to preserve priceless memories, understanding just how significant these images can be for families and individuals. It’s a true honor to be part of their stories and to celebrate life’s beautiful moments through my lens.
